Private Patient Units
There are 43 Foundation Trusts with existing private patient units, and these are listed in the Appendix [1]. The Forward Plans of Foundation Trusts show that eleven trusts indicate that they intend to create a private patient unit, these are listed in Table 3.

Two of these trusts (Clatterbridge; Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh) have already advertised in the Official Journal of the EU. Three trusts (Guys and St Thomas; The Christie; Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh) already have one or more private patient units and intend to create another one.
